ABAI Welcomes New Public Member: Emily Jakacki

Emily Jakacki is the Vice President of Operations for Ambulatory and Service Lines in the Central Chicagoland service area for Advocate Aurora Health.
In this regional role, Emily is accountable for the medical group footprint across a 3-hospital market which includes over 300+ physicians and clinicians, 1,000+ team members and over 70+ clinical sites as well as the cancer, neurosciences and cardiology service lines. Emily joined Advocate in 2011 as the first service line director at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, a 300-bed Level 1 Trauma Center in Chicago. Having led a variety of service lines and hospital outpatient programs including neurosciences, cancer, digestive health and cardiology, Emily was accountable for service line growth, program planning and operations across the ambulatory footprint.
Prior to joining Advocate Illinois Masonic, Emily worked at Sg2, a health care intelligence firm based in Skokie, IL where she managed key health system accounts and managed Sg2University, the educational track for physician leaders, administrative leaders and health care executive teams looking for new approaches to their business plans and board retreats.
Originally hailing from the Detroit area, Emily attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in higher education management. Emily played lacrosse all four years at Penn, a sport near and dear to her heart as she still coaches in Chicago.
Emily lives in Chicago (Bucktown) with her husband Tom and her two daughters Juliana (6) and Georgia (3).
