Program Overview
During the year-long funded program, the Visiting Scholars remain at their home organizations and work with self-selected mentors. They participate in monthly interactive webinars where they provide research project updates to their peers and a select panel of subject matter experts and Visiting Scholars alumni who provide guidance, support, and solutions to barriers they may be experiencing in their research work.
The program begins in September. Scholars traditionally attend three in-person leadership meetings and present their research findings before a national audience at the annual ABMS Conference. Scholars say that the program helps shape their career path, advance their research aspirations, and forge long-term relationships. Read the Scholars Impact stories to learn more about their experiences.
